DIplomatic Recognition
Despite being a micronation, Nordonia still engages in foreign recognition of other countries. Even though the recognition of another country by Nordonia does not mean anything when it comes to international diplomacy, Nordonia does still recognize other countries. The reason for this is to make official documents and IDs from other countries (especially micronations) valid in Nordonia.
The Nordonian Empire currently recognizes the sovereignty of the following states:
All members of the United Nations
All members of Grand Unified Micronational
All members of the YAMO federation
Vatican City State
Republic of Molossia
Republic of Abkhazia
Republic of Kosovo
Phoklandian Free State
Republic of West Who
But hang on, Why does Nordonia, a micronation lacking any type international recognition from any established nation-state or international organization, bother with recognizing other countries?

Well, there are a few reasons. The first one has to do with war. Micronational wars are often nothing more than kids shooting each other with toy blasters and making Youtube videos about it. The micronations most likely to declare war against othe are the ones that have not existed for more than a few weeks, or maybe a few months at most. The Nordonian Government does not consider these micronations as legitimet, because the only thing a lot of them do is to declare war on everyone around them. Therefor, by not recognizing these micronations, it's diplomatically impossible for them to declare war on us.

Another reason is passports and diplomatic relations. For example, a passport issued by any state formally recognized by The Nordonian Empire will be valid in Nordonia. This applies to documents as well. In addition, it allows Nordonia to enter into diplomatic relations with other micronations. Something that is of high value to the Nordonian government.
